Meghan Markle only has ‘kind words’ for Kate Middleton in Oprah interview

Buckingham Palace is terrified that Meghan Markle will say mean things about Kate Middleton in Sunday’s interview with Oprah Winfrey – but sources assure The Post that the Duchess is only offering “kind words” to her sister-in-law in the otherwise bombshell sit-down.

Markle dissing Middleton – and uncovering the dirty details of their infamous rift – is feared as something that would do “tremendous” damage to the British monarchy, the British newspaper Sun reported.

A frightened source even described the interview as a “nuclear option” for Markle, the Sun reported.

But a source with knowledge of the Oprah interview, which airs Sunday, tells The Post Buckingham Palace shouldn’t be concerned in that regard.

Meghan and Prince Harry had only “kind words” about Prince William and Kate, a CBS insider told The Post, who denied that Oprah’s sitdown would reveal the extent of a rift between the quartet.

Still, royal guards are waiting with trepidation for any bombs that might drop Middleton’s way, especially given Markle’s outspoken displeasure with her time in the UK, which she will describe as ‘almost insurmountable’.

“If she has chosen to speak frankly about her time with Kate, the damage that could be done to the monarchy is immense,” royal sources told The UK Sun.

“She has the power to expose how bad things really were between her, Harry, William and Kate.”

During the marathon chat, Markle is also expected to discuss the breakdown of her relationship with father Thomas Markle, who did not even attend the royal wedding.

“Oprah will probably show Meghan videos of things Thomas has said – and then ask for her answer. It should lead to some dramatic moments, ”the source told The Sun.
