Meghan and Prince Harry share a Christmas card starring little Archie

On the map, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex turn their attention to a light-haired Archie as the family is surrounded by their two dogs, a miniature house and lush greenery. A small Christmas tree decorated with a red bow is placed nearby.

“I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year”, reads the card.

The image, which appears to be an illustration, represents Archie’s first look since his first birthday in May.
“The original photo of the family was taken at their home earlier this month by The Duchess’s mother,” said a family spokesperson. “The little Christmas tree, including the home-made ornaments and other decorations, has been selected by Archie and will be replanted after the holidays.”
Harry and Meghan have fiercely protected Archie’s privacy and filed a lawsuit in July over paparazzi photos of him. The couple stepped down from their roles as members of the royal family in early 2020 and moved to Santa Barbara, California in July.

The Christmas card was released by Mayhew, an animal welfare charity in London that is one of Meghan’s patrons.

“This year, as a family, we made donations to various charities with you in mind,” Meghan said in the card. “From a local California organization helping families transition from homelessness, to two of our UK patronages: one supporting animal and community welfare, and the other, a memorial fund for a dear friend that helps raise children and fight poverty in Uganda, we have honored their work on behalf of all of us. ”

Mayhew CEO Caroline Yates said the organization was delighted to have Markle as their patron.

“We were especially honored to recently receive a personal donation from the Duke and Duchess, helping us to help even more cats, dogs and pet owners during this tough winter,” Yates wrote.
