On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Pocket Monsters, Includes McDonald’s Pokémon card packs in Happy Meals. It seemed like a good idea! Others thought so too.

Included are four random cards from a set of 50 cards, Inven reports. The rarest or most valuable cards are, as always, the glossy versions.

Some collectors and YouTubers inevitably pick up the tickets en masse. Scalpers appear, unsurprisingly, right behind.

Lent is on the first day the cards were released food chain seemed laissez-faire about the launch. Apparently some McDonald’s offer the packages separately, while other locations include them with the Happy Meal. Depending on the specific McDonald’s, there may be different rules for how much can be purchased.

For example as a YouTuber Blazendary Pokemon pointed out the venue may have limited supply so he bought 20 Happy Meals. In contrast, YouTuber aDrive didn’t want the food and only asked for the boxes and the card packs. He was limited to ordering 20 from one location, but could order 80 from another.

Vannie Eats ordered six Happy Meals with the cards, then filmed a mukbang while she devoured the food.

Good not let the food go to waste. Some like the above Blazendary Pokemon or Twitter JT Valor, who buy in large quantities, say they give the food to those in need. I really hope others who buy a lot of Happy Meals do the same.

Not everyone who buys in bulk is necessarily looking for these cards, but the cards end up on eBay. Packs appear to be about $ 5 to $ 10 a pop in the resale market with the more desirable cards, like the glossy Pikachu, fetching a whopping $ 60.

Regular folks hoping to get a Pokémon Happy Meal with the commemorative cards find they are already sold out. Yep, sure, but unless there are stricter rules for people who buy a lot of Happy Meals, this had to be done.
