The mayor of Ponce, Luis Irizarry Pabón, welcomes singer Jowell’s proposal to establish the first Urban School of the Caribbean in his municipality.
Moreover, he noticed the artist’s intention with regard to the content of the lyrics they are going to promote in the project.
“Jowell wants to give urban music a different meaning, with positive messages. They talked about bringing messages of faith and that inspires me to give it a try and be a facilitator. The genre has evolved and there is room for a message with lyrics that reach all target groups, ”said the president.
Since the school is an idea in development, it does not have a building yet.
“There are certain structures that can be found in the municipality or a school. But we will go into that in more detail once it is formalized, ”he explains.
