“WAP” – the sexually explicit hit from Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion – is a symbol of women taking charge and speaking up … to Rep. Maxine Waters, anyway.
The congresswoman and MTS recently hooked up online, and Waters seemed to surprise the rapper when asked what music encourages her … and she brought up “WAP.”
After hilariously telling Meg not to worry, Rep. Waters several times when she first heard the track, she thought … “That’s guts. That’s guts.”
During the online chat, in front of Harper’s Bazaar, Maxine also said that Cardi and Meg should be praised, not criticized, for being at the forefront of a feminist hip-hop movement.
After all, Waters says that’s what the men were who were “in charge” of this genre of music Tupac and Dr. Dre – did it for years, and she points out that she has always been a defender of the First Amendment.

Now compare Waters’ view of “WAP” with that of a conservative host Ben Shapiro … who notoriously destroyed the vulgarity of the lyrics when it was released, claiming it was an affront to feminism.
