Adam Carollahas another option next time he wants to keep it to Gov. Gavin Newsom by sitting in an LA restaurant for dinner … and this one has an ocean view.
Mastro’s Ocean Club Malibu, one of LA’s biggest celebrity hotspots, is still very open for business despite LA County’s ban on eating inside and out … and it’s pretty easy to defy the law and grab a table to get.
A source tells TMZ … Mastro’s still operates as an “underground open” with customers eating and drinking under a large, white tent set up outside the chic restaurant.
People who want to eat out during the pandemic can make reservations over the phone … we’ve been told there’s no password or anything like that … and plenty of reservations available every day on OpenTable this month.
The video we got was shot in the makeshift dining room on Tuesday night, and it shows all staff wearing face coverings adhering to the same regulations set when it returned to eating outside earlier this year.
As you know … eating indoors and out in LA County – and all of SoCal on behalf of Newsom – was suspended in late November when ICU capacity at local hospitals dropped below 15 percent.
The change is pissed off a lot of people who don’t understand what has suddenly changed to create outdoor dining less safe.
We’ve reached out to Mastro’s multiple times for comment, as well as the LA County Sheriff’s Department and the LA County Health Department … not a word back so far.
The decision to stay open is certainly a risky one Governor Newsom claim some places could lose their liquor license for breaking the rules.
As we told you … from Adam support the recall to Newsom, who says the shutdowns are ridiculous and the people who agree to them are sheep.
Well, apparently there are fewer sheep enjoying fine steak and seafood in the ‘bu. Enjoy your meal!!!
