Someone in the house called 911 to report the fire, officials said.
Firefighters fought the blaze for hours before bringing it under control.
Orange County Fire Rescue tweeted, “All occupants are reported safely and no injuries.”
Grayson’s wife, Dr. Dena Grayson, later tweeted, “Thanks for your support, friends. I am grateful that everyone (including the puppies) is safe. All of our clothes are burned, but again, I haven’t needed a suit in over a year because of the pandemic, so there is. “

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
It is not known whether Grayson, a Democrat who held the Congressional seat of District 9 in Florida from 2013-2017, was at home at the time of the fire.
