Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales has already surpassed The Last of Us 2, Ghost of Tsushima in the US

Superhero spin-off Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales has already out-sold PlayStation 4 juggernauts The Last of Us: Part II and Ghost of Tsushima in the United States – despite launching in mid-November. Naughty Dog’s survival horror sequel released in June, while Sucker Punch’s historic open world kicked off in July – although it’s worth noting that Insomniac Games’ sandbox has been released on two platforms: PS5 and PS4.

NPD data pins Miles Morales as the fifth best-selling game of the past 12 months, while The Last of Us: Part II and Ghost of Tsushima are in seventh and eighth place respectively. The chart is ranked by dollar sales, and Spider-Man has two SKUs available at $ 49.99 and $ 69.99. The other two titles were sold for $ 59.99.

Considering how successful both The Last of Us: Part II and Ghost of Tsushima were undoubtedly, this is quite an eye-opening result. The data takes into account both physical and digital sales, so at least it paints an accurate picture for the United States. Obviously, Miles Morales sales are driven by its association with the PS5 – but look, that inevitable Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is going to be one of Sony’s greatest games of all time, isn’t it?
