Marvel boss Kevin Feige shuts down Chris Evans return as Captain America rumor: ‘it was expelled by the man himself’
Chris Evans is unlikely to reprise his role as Captain America, despite feverish speculation to the contrary.
In January, reports circulated that Chris Evens may be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Steve Rogers after seemingly retiring the character in 2019’s Avengers: Endgame.

Now Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has closed the reports during an interview with EW released Wednesday.
“I rarely answer no anymore because things always surprise me with what is happening, but that rumor, I think, was dispelled pretty quickly by the man himself,” he told the publication.
It seems clear fans shouldn’t expect Evans when the spin-off series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier premieres on Disney + on Friday.

The news comes on the same day that the Marvel Comics company announced the first gay Captain America on Tuesday. He will make his United States debut of Captain America # 1 during Pride Month in June.
The new character is called Aaron Fischer and represents the first LGBTQ person to take up the hero’s shield in the comic’s 80-year history.
The historic step comes as the comic book giant expands its increasingly diverse roster of characters.

The limited series follows the original Captain America, Steve Rogers, as he searches for his missing shield. Along the way, he meets people inspired by the Captain America symbol to help their own communities.
Known as’ Captain America of the Railways, ‘writer Joshya Trujillo described the character in a statement:’ Aaron is inspired by heroes of the queer community: activists, leaders, and everyday people striving for a better life.
‘He represents the oppressed and the forgotten. I hope his debut story resonates with readers and inspires the next generation of heroes, ‘he added.

Although the LGBTQ character has no superpowers, he does his best to protect runaways and unmarried teens in the comic.

Aaron will don the cap’s blue face mask, a red neckerchief and matching gloves. He also has a variety of tattoos and piercings.
His issue of The United States of Captain America will be in stores June 2, followed by other stories that will focus on different types of Captain Americas.
