Cultural activities for commemorations in 2021
During this year there will be several commemorations, such as the 200 years of the completion of independence and the 500 years of the fall of Tenochtitlan.
In this regard, the Ministry of Culture announced that there will be 72 activities, including exhibitions, opening of archaeological windows and awards for archaeological, historical and ethnological research topics.
The bureau chief, Alejandra Frausto, explained that to mark the 190 years of Vicente Guerrero’s execution on February 14, an exhibition will be held in Cuilápam de Guerrero, Oaxaca.
“There is a lot to emphasize about this character. The exhibition shows how he was responsible for the promulgation of the formal decree for the abolition of slavery on September 15, 1829, ”said the official last week.
