Martha Stewart, 79, says she was ‘p **** d’ her parole officer wouldn’t allow her to host Saturday Night Live after her arrest in 2004
Martha Stewart recalls being very unhappy because she was not allowed to host on Saturday Night Live.
The 79-year-old media personality recently sat down for an interview with Harper’s Bazaar and spoke about the circumstances surrounding her arrest in 2004.
The television host specifically said that she only regretted that period once and that she was not allowed to host the long-running sketch-comedy show.

She blamed the blocking on her probation officer, whom she said “I wouldn’t give the time.”
Stewart went on to complain about the missed opportunity, noting that she was very upset by her probation officer’s decision.
‘That really bummed me because I really would have liked to have hosted Saturday Night Live. I’d like that on my resume, ”she explained.
The reality TV personality’s legal troubles stemmed from an incident in 2002 where she engaged in insider trading.

Stewart was eventually convicted of conspiracy and making false statements to federal investigators, among others.
The businesswoman spent five months in prison and was subsequently sentenced to two years in prison, part of which was under house arrest.
During the interview, she indicated that in fact her life had changed throughout the affair and noted that she doesn’t view the period as a particularly easy time.

Stewart said, “I knew I was strong when I went in and I was definitely stronger when I came out… It was a very serious event in my life. I take it very seriously. ‘
The designer also stated that while she didn’t just have bad feelings about the period, the whole experience would change her for life.
‘I’m not bitter about it, but…. My daughter knows all the problems that have arisen as a result. There’s a lot, ”she noted.
Stewart closed the interview with advice she wanted to pass on to readers of the article.
‘I’ve said it so many times, but take your life into your own hands. Do not be led by other people. Know what you want. I really believe in that, ”she said.
