The commercialization in the United States of a beer called Palma is trying to confuse consumers, and enters the economic war that Washington has imposed on Havana.
This criterion, supported by observers and digital media, is supported by the recent performance in Miami (Florida) from Palma, imitation of Cristal beer, from Cuba, as reflected huellacubana.com
The makers of Palma admit that it was inspired by the number one in sales on the island and has been a favorite for over 75 years, having been manufactured in Cuba since 1888.
However, amid the United States’ differences and commercial pressure against this island, analysts interpret the appearance as an additional attempt at financial and commercial pressure, known in this country as a blockade.
For the rest, the difference can even be seen in the raw materials, as Cristal de Cuba is made with the best quality malt and the clear island water to give a light hop flavor that refreshes.
The Cristal even received the gold medal in the International Monde Selection in 2007 for its excellence and taste.
Founded in 1961 in Brussels, Belgium, Monde Selection is an international quality selection institute that tests consumer products from around the world to give them a quality label. This allows consumers to choose the one they deem best.
The factory that makes Cristal de Cuba, Cervecería Bucanero SA, in the eastern province of Holguín, celebrated its 30th anniversary on October 24.

The facility was inaugurated in 1990 under the name Cervecería Mayabe. In 1997 it became a joint venture between Coralsa and Cerbuco Brewery inc., And took its current name.
Its portfolio includes five beer brands (Cristal, Bucanero, Bucanero Max, Cacique, Mayabe, added Palma Cristal and Cubanero, the latter two for export (including Bucanero malt).
Cristal de Cuba in particular is the most requested brand, both by national and foreign visitors, which allows us to assume with regard to La Palma de Miami an intention to plagiarize, and a formula to confuse consumers.
