Trailer FrenzyA special place to find the latest trailers for movies and TV shows you are looking for.

Imagine your parents were famous superheroes… and then the time came for you to follow the family businessThat is the premise of Jupiter’s legacy, a new Netflix series that released its first action-packed trailer today.

Film directed by Steven S. DeKnight (Smallville, Daredevil) and based on the comic series by Mark Millar and Frank Quitely (nice nod on the side of the van) Jupiter’s legacy tells the story of “the world’s first generation of superheroes” who try to bring their children into world-saving ranks. But living up to parents’ expectations is hard enough each child – let alone the children of famous superheroes.

Plus, as this first trailer makes clear, there’s extra pressure from around the world to see them try to get into some rather gigantic shoes – and the fact that those kids are all a bit mad at their parents for being MIA for all that hero stuff growing up.

Overall, the tone looks pretty serious here, despite the colorful outfits, explosive special effects, and star Josh Duhamel’s ‘aging Fabio’ haircut. (We also already have a current series that elaborates on the whole “omg my dad is a superheroSituation, but this looks a little more extensive than Superman and Lois until now.)

Jupiter’s legacy– starring Ben Daniels, Leslie Bibb, Elena Kampouris, Andrew Horton, Mike Wade, Matt Lanter and Ian Quinlan – will be released on Netflix on May 7.
