Marilyn Manson has been removed from two television shows after actress Evan Rachel Wood and four other women came out on Monday with allegations of abuse against the rocker.
Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, released a statement on Monday denying the allegations, calling Woods’ allegations of sexual and physical abuse against him “terrible distortions.”
Starz announced on Monday that it “stands unequivocally to all victims and survivors of abuse” and has therefore removed the upcoming episode from its “American Gods” series with Manson.
“Due to the allegations against Marilyn Manson, we have decided to remove his performance from the remaining episode he is in, which will air later this season,” the network confirmed on the TV show’s verified Twitter account.

Manson had a recurring role on the show’s third season, with the shock rocker appearing in an episode only Sunday night, Entertainment Weekly reports.
In addition, AMC’s Shudder Manson, 52, has dropped from an upcoming segment of the “Creepshow” series, a network representative confirmed to Fox News. Each “Creepshow” episode airs in two parts, and while Manson’s first segment aired earlier, the second will be replaced with him.
Wood, who was previously engaged to Manson in 2010, posted her allegations on Instagram Monday morning, claiming that the rocker had “ brainwashed and manipulated ” her during their relationship.

He has since been dropped from his record label, Loma Vista Recordings.
The musician from “The Beautiful People” has released a denial on his own Instagram.
“Obviously, my art and my life have long been magnets for controversy, but these recent claims about me are terrible distortions of reality,” he said. “My intimate relationships have always been completely consistent with like-minded partners.”
He concluded, “No matter how – and why – others choose now to misrepresent the past, that’s the truth.”
After Wood shared her own allegations, at least four other women posted their own allegations against Manson in a show of solidarity, Vanity Fair reported. The women claimed to have endured “sexual assault, psychological abuse, and / or various forms of coercion, violence and intimidation”. The outlet noted that Manson has denied similar allegations in the past.

Wood reportedly met Manson when she was 18 and he was 36.

In 2018, a police report was filed against Manson for nonspecific sex crimes dating back to 2011, The Hollywood Reporter revealed. However, the prosecutor dismissed the case, citing that the statute of limitations had expired and there was “no confirmation”. Manson’s attorney, Howard E. King, Esq., Also denied claims to the outlet.

Manson is known as one of rock music’s most eccentric figures for his unique looks and mysterious, ghostly personality. He has been nominated for four Grammy awards in the metal categories.
