Alison, who represents herself in the case, says Honey’s singer has made the untrue claims despite realizing the damage it would do to her, given her personal trauma and health problems.

She cited the trauma that stemmed from the alleged ‘satanic’ abuse she suffered at the hands of their mother Patricia, who are the subject of another lawsuit Alison Carey filed against her mother last year, per Page Six.

She also said that Mariah was aware that her sister was suffering from spine and digestive disorders and a traumatic brain injury, short-term memory problems and vision problems after being attacked in 2015 during an ‘unresolved home invasion’.

Alison – who is HIV + and has been arrested for prostitution in the past – also said she struggled with alcohol abuse after being sober for ‘a long time’.

With this in mind, Alison says her famous sister “has maliciously used her status as a public figure to attack her penniless sister, generating sensational headlines describing lurid claims to promote the sale of her book.”

Elder Mrs. Carey is seeking restitution for “deliberately inflicting immense emotional distress caused by the heartless, cruel, vengeful, despicable, and utterly unnecessary public humiliation of the defendant’s already severely damaged older sister.”

She said she sent Mariah’s legal team an offer to reach a settlement on Jan. 8, but never heard back, according to court documents.

Mariah’s sister isn’t the only one who’s heated up about the book.

Her brother Morgan, 60, said he planned to press charges during a November 2020 conversation with The Sun, calling his sister’s memories “ delusional. ”

In the book, she also claims that Morgan was hired to kill someone for $ 30,000, but never got through with the job.

“It is heartbreaking to witness my little sister’s descent into this hateful delusional revisionist rant, because it is so reminiscent of her unhinged behavior during her first breakdown,” he said.

The so-called ‘memoirs’ are laden from start to finish with lies, distortions and crude revisionism, and I can prove it.

“If I reveal the truth, the facts, and the supporting evidence, it will be a very hard pill for her and her publishers to swallow and rest assured, I will file a lawsuit.”

Mariah was similarly cold when she spoke of her relationship with her siblings during a profile with Vulture last August, saying, ‘Here’s the thing: They’ve been relentlessly just heartless in terms of most of my life with me as a person. I never would have talked about my family if they hadn’t done it first. ‘

“I have forgiveness in my heart, so I forgive them, but I try not to invite anyone to hang out here. I think they are very broken, and I feel sad for them. ‘

Mariah says it “took a lifetime” for her to be brave enough to write the book, which was “incredibly difficult” for her.

In the preface she writes, “This book is composed of my memories and my accidents, my struggles, my survival … I went deep into my childhood and gave the frightened little girl in me a big voice.”
