City officials have reportedly received subpoenas from the grand jury asking for information about any conversations or correspondence they have had with the Trump organization regarding its development plans.

Roland Baroni, a lawyer from the city of North Castle, New York, told CNN that the city had received and granted a subpoena “in which he exchanged plan board files, all correspondence, every e-mail” between the city and the Trump organization. .

North Castle is one of three municipalities that make up the large family complex.

CNBC reported On Friday, a lawyer from the City of Bedford, NY said they had also received a subpoena from Vance’s office “before Christmas” for information and documents relating to the estate.

The third town’s city attendant, New Castle, declined CNBC’s request for comment.

People familiar with the investigation told CNN that the Trump Organization had also been subpoenaed for information about the property, including any tax deductions the company took after donating part of the land to a public trust for conservation.

The Hill has reached out to the Trump Organization for comment.

According to CNN, Trump’s company has tried to develop the property multiple times, including drawing up plans to potentially build a golf course or community of residential homes.

By donating a land for conservation, a property can receive a tax deduction based on the value of the property. Vance’s research examines whether the property’s value has been inflated to get a more favorable tax deduction.

Court documents indicated 158 acres of Westchester County property had been donated to the North American Land Trust at an estimated value of $ 21.1 million.

The property, which the Trump organization purchased for $ 7.5 million in 1995, is also part of a civil investigation conducted by the New York Attorney General Letitia James (D) in whether the company lied about the value of certain assets in order to receive more advantageous loans and tax breaks.
