Man who demanded money in buses on behalf of gang is shot

Police said the man turned out to be a salesman and then intimidated into asking on behalf of a gang.

Oscar Armando Comayagua, 32, was murdered today on an R-2 bus near San Miguelito Market, between 25 Poniente Street and España Avenue, in San Salvador.

The man boarded the unit at the San Miguelito market stop and was shot while backing up.

The body was left at the fifth window of the bus. A police officer said he had drowned in his own blood for being shot with a low caliber revolver. There were two impacts from behind.

The same officer said the man, about 33 years old, pretended to be a salesman and then intimidated bus users by asking on behalf of a gang.

“It was not a good piece, in December we arrested him for that reason to question him, but we had to release him,” said the officer.

According to the driver, the man said on boarding that a “homeboy” had died and about a minute later two shots were heard.

“To save I want to go because I’ve been a little nervous when you hear that, you think it’s with you because you’re going to work this way and you don’t know if you’re going back home,” driver.

The driver indicated that the test subject came on board frequently. And he did it on other buses that run in the area too. The seller’s only facade, he added.
