Employees at a McDonald’s in Maine didn’t like it when a potential customer started chasing them with a chainsaw.
Alice Sweet entered a McDonald’s in Portland at around 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a chainsaw and had the gun run at employees behind the counter, Westbrook police said in a statement.
Sweet then stole some food and drink before fleeing the restaurant, police said.
The manager later confronted the madman, but then Sweet started chasing him with the chainsaw, police said.
Police said the 26-year-old from Portland also damaged two cars parked at the fast-food restaurant.
Agents who responded to the scene ran after Sweet and followed him to arrest him.
Sweet has been charged with theft, criminal mischief, refusal to submit to arrest, and violation of the conditions for release.
