Man accused of disrupting flight by not wearing mask, urinating in cabin

A Colorado man is facing federal charges after allegedly refusing to wear a mask onboard an Alaska Airlines flight and peeing in the cabin while interacting with airline employees, according to a new report.

Police say 24-year-old Canon City-based Landon Grier hit a flight attendant who asked him to wear a mask while trying to sleep on the flight from Seattle to Denver, according to the Associated Press.

The FAA requires all domestic passengers traveling on US aircraft to wear a face cover at all times while traveling.

Later, another passenger called the flight attendants back to Grier’s section of the cabin because he was urinating in his seat.

Grier had reportedly admitted to drinking before boarding the plane and told FBI investigators that he was “awakened by the screaming of flight attendants telling him he was peeing.”

“He stated that he did not remember hitting the flight attendant and did not know if he was peeing,” police said in an incident report.
