Donald Glover, 37, and Malia Obama, 22, join forces for a new Amazon Prime project. Sources say “Hive” will revolve around a Beyoncé-esque character.

Malia Obama has reportedly signed up to write for an upcoming streaming series led by Donald Glover, who has just signed an eight-figure production deal with Amazon Prime.
Glover’s new pact with the streaming platform will see the Emmy and Grammy winner produce a number of undeveloped television projects, such as a potential new series called “Hive”. He enlisted writer Janine Nabers (“Watchmen”) to help lead the team, including the United States’ former first daughter, the Hollywood Reporter first reported.
While the plot is still unclear, sources have revealed that “Hive” will revolve around a Beyoncé-esque character.
Malia, 22, is a Harvard University class student of 2021, and this would be her first professional entertainment appearance after several A-list internships, including a stint on the set of HBO’s “Girls” in 2015.
The news of the high-profile addition to Glover’s writer’s room comes just days after it was announced that the 37-year-old “Atlanta” designer and Phoebe Waller-Bridge, the mastermind behind the award-winning “Fleabag” series, would be coming together. on screen for a remake of “Mr. & Mrs. Smith, ”also in partnership with Amazon Studios and New Regency.
Amazon declined to comment. Representatives for Glover, aka artist Childish Gambino, did not immediately respond to The Post’s requests for comment.
