The telluric movement occurred in the Pacific Ocean at 6:39 PM and had its epicenter 140 kilometers (86 miles) southwest of Corral, nearly 900 kilometers (559 miles) from Santiago, in the south of the country, the Geological Survey reported. of the United States. It was possible to observe it in five regions of southern Chile: Ñuble, La Araucanía, Biobío, Los Ríos and Los Lagos.
