‘Of course your name is Karen’: Madonna SNAPS at ‘b ****’ troll who criticized her Daunte Wright post calling for gun control … because she denies having ‘armed guards’ for protection

  • Madonna, 62, hit back on an internet troll on Tuesday that attempted to report the singer’s political post about Daunte Wright’s death
  • Instagram user Karen Gayler seemed to call Madge a hypocrite, saying, ‘I bet you have people with guns to protect you and your family’
  • But the 62-year-old entertainer hit back, calling Karen a ‘b *****’ and saying ‘you know nothing about my life’ and denying having ‘armed guards’.
  • As a farewell, Madonna added, “Of course your name is Karen” – in reference to the name synonymous with often racist middle-aged women.

Madonna has hit back at an Instagram user who criticized the pop singer for posting a video of Daunte Wright’s death alongside a politically charged caption calling for gun control in America.

The 62-year-old entertainer had warned his followers Tuesday that the images of Wright, 20, who was shot by veteran officer Kimberly Potter, 48, were “ deeply disturbing ” when she criticized Police Chief Tim Gannon’s statement that it was an “ accident. ”

An Instagram follower named Karen Gayler then attacked Madonna for her stance on gun control in the comments section, claiming the superstar was a hypocrite, saying, ‘I bet you have people with guns to protect you and your family . ‘

“If you take the weapons, criminals will ALWAYS find weapons,” Karen noted under Madonna’s post, adding, “You live behind high walls with protection. You don’t live in the real world. Criminals are not afraid of the police, judges or prison. ‘

But Madonna immediately snapped back in a scathing reply, “B *** h I have no security or armed guards around me. Come see me and tell me to my face how not real my world is. I dare you.’

The Material Girl continued, ‘You don’t know anything about me or my life. The only criminals I see now are the police who are paid to protect the people. But the police are protected by judges and the criminal justice system, which is a joke because there is no justice when you are a person of color. ‘

As a farewell, Madonna added, ‘Of course your name is Karen’ – referring to the fact that the name ‘Karen’ has now become synonymous with pushy middle-aged women – and more recently racist women targeting people of color.

It is not yet clear what charges will be facing Brooklyn Center police officer Kimberly Potter for the death of the 20-year-old black man, but multiple sources told KSTP they could be filed Wednesday.

Both Potter and Police Chief Tim Gannon resigned their jobs on Tuesday, two days after Wright was shot after being arrested for what police say were expired license plates.

On Monday, Madonna had posted another Instagram post about the incident, when she called for gun control in a caption next to a photo of herself behind a broken glass from a bullet.

“There have been over 130 mass shootings in the US so far and we are only in April,” the singer began in her caption.

‘A tragedy is made all the more tragic because it is there. Solution. It’s called Gun Control! Wake up America! History just repeats itself. #wakeup #guncontrol ‘

In July last year, Madonna herself was called a ‘Karen’ as a slur, after posting conspiracy theories about the coronavirus online.

The post was flagged by Instagram for containing misinformation and eventually deleted.
