Madonna will not give up on her campaign to end gun violence in the US
On Saturday, the legendary pop superstar took to Instagram and shared a video of her hanging posters along the city streets with the two hashtags: #wakeupamerica and #guncontrolnow.
Later in the day, the equipment girl shared a series of photos of herself posing for her #guncontrolnow handy work on the street, along with some more powerful statements in favor of more gun security measures.

The 62-year-old from Michigan took to the streets looking fashionable in an all-black outfit with a t-shirt that said “Wake up America” on the front and leggings with a black pattern.
In the video, Madonna also wears a blue beanie hat over her platinum blonde locks as she hangs posters along a number of walls and construction sites along with a few others.
Towards the back of the 1:21 clip, the Rebel Heart singer looked straight into the camera to make her pitch for change, when it comes to guns and gun safety.
“Beware of this new vaccination for America to keep us all alive; it’s going to protect us all. It’s called gun control, okay? It’s called gun safety, okay? the singer-songwriter said, standing in front of some of the posters she’d just put up in the street.
‘New vaccination – it should be mandatory. We are all civilians, ”she added with the sound of ‘waking up’ in the background.
Her take: The pop superstar was referring to two of the more recent police shootings of unarmed black men to defend her advocacy of more gun safety measures, while simultaneously calling for corruption in the justice system.

About four hours later, on Saturday, Madonna addressed some of the more recent police shootings of unarmed black men.

Madonna’s street campaign comes just days after she was hit back by an Instagram user who criticized her for posting a video of Daunte Wright’s death alongside a politically charged caption calling for gun control in America.
The entertainer had warned followers on Tuesday that the footage of Wright, 20, shot by veteran officer Kimberly Potter, 48, was “ deeply disturbing ” when she criticized Police Chief Tim Gannon’s statement that it was an “ accident. ”
An Instagram follower named Karen Gayler then attacked Madonna for her stance on gun control in the comments section, claiming the superstar was a hypocrite, saying, ‘I bet you have people with guns to protect you and your family . ‘
