Loves Furniture is officially filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy

WARREN, me. – Loves Furniture, the company that has acquired many closed Art Van Furniture locations, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Loves Furniture’s bankruptcy was filed with the US Bankruptcy Court on Wednesday. Art Van Furniture filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in March last year.

In May last year, it was announced that Loves Furniture would reopen 27 shuttered Art Van locations in six states, including 17 locations in Michigan.

Before filing for bankruptcy, Loves Furniture had announced that some locations would be closing. Customers reported long delays in delivery.

The fill-in document states that Loves Furniture has between 100-199 creditors and between $ 10 million and $ 50 million in liabilities.
