As a true theater and theatrical arts enthusiast (I saw Jeremy O. Harris’ Play slave a little over a year ago, what was great, and a musical by Idina Menzel in 2013 or ’14 which my partner from the auntie back then gave us for free tickets for, which was so boring walked out during the break), I appreciate the theater that Maya Rudolph brings her Saturday Night Live promo.

On the spot, the comedian and former SNL cast member, hosting tonight’s episode of NBC’s long-running sketch comedy show, is asked by current cast member Chris Redd if she is ready for spring. She responds, per Vulture

Rudolph: Am I ready for spring, Chris? Spring! T.he symbolic representation from birth. N.that life. N.new start. S.pring! T.he ushered in a new dawn after the long, cruel night of winter. S.pring! A bloom of new beauty. N.they promise. N.new hope. Ask me again, Chris, am I ready for spring?

Redd: Uh … Are you ready for spring?

Rudolph: Yes. Yes that’s me.
