Los Angeles Dodgers signs Mexican Pedro Santillán, a 19-year-old pitcher who is a product of the Red Devils Academy
The Red Devils of Mexico announced the transfer of the young pitcher Pedro Santillán to the Los Angeles Dodgers, joining the Mexican players active in the Los Angeles franchise.
Through their social networks, Diablos Rojos announced that the 19-year old pitcher will join Aztec Julio Urías and Víctor González, who were crowned MLB champions last year and both fell into the World Series because of their good performances.
Santillán is originally from Chihuahua and was recruited by Víctor Ledesma for the Alfredo Harp Helú Baseball Academy. In this academy, Miguel Ángel López and Salvador Robles were responsible for the collaboration with Pedro, who managed to deliver an excellent performance in the Juntos por México Cup.
Regarding Pedro Santillán’s move to the Dodgers, the Red Devils expressed their joy in helping another Mexican player fulfill his dream of emigrating to baseball from the United States.
“We are proud to have been a part of their training and to be able to once again witness the signing of one of our prospects and also to whom we wish the best in his new team,” they wrote.
