The roguelite RPG that builds the deck and creates dungeons Loop Hero will get some much-needed quality of life improvements in an upcoming update, the game’s developers announced yesterdayThe most important of these solutions? Finally you can save your game.

Technically, Loop Hero already does that and automatically saves all progress as you complete expeditions. But there is no way to save the game while in the middle of the adventure which may not seem like a big deal until 2am and you fall asleep on your computer, looking for resources that cannot log out without destroying your progress.

A current workaround for this is to simply keep the game running all the time, which is what I recently started doing and why Steam tells me that I have been on for almost 150 hours now. Loop HeroEven this system is not fully file, however, subject to the nefarious whims of Windows update logic and user error when you think you’ve paused the game to eat, but it basically kept running and now your little pixelated sprite is dead and buried and you lost an hour of loot.

Long story short: yes, a mid-expedition storage feature will be great. Four Quarters also says there are more speed settings, another oft-requested feature since then Loop HeroThe replay can make his early play pretty rotten and annoying after a while, but is also coming soon. “After that you can expect a lot more content to be added to the game, such as new maps, transformations, lessons and new music. We can’t wait to share more updates with you soon! the studio writes.

That’s great news because I love Loop Hero and can’t wait to experiment with weird new combinations of cards and classes. The music is also top shelf. I wish there was more of it. If you haven’t checked out yet Loop Hero for yourself, well you should. It’s like Kill the spire meets Dota Chess converted to an 8-bit version of SimCity for the NES.
