Lithuanian Domantas Sabonis wins the NBA All-Star Game Skills Challenge

Lithuanian Domantas Sabonis became the first player in Indiana Pacers history to be crowned in the NBA All-Star Game Skills Challenge.

Sabonis defeated Nicola Vucevic in the final with an impressive and near-perfect play, after passing Julius Randle and Luka Doncic. In 2020, the Lithuanian lost the final of the event.

Vucecic of the Orlando Magic had beaten Chris Paul (Phoenix Suns) in the semi-finals to secure his ticket to the championship round.

‘I was close last year. That is why I came motivated this time. It is exciting to be here with the best in the NBA, with whom there is very good camaraderie, ”said Sabonis after his triumph.

One of the fans’ favorite players, Doncic took part in this Skills Challenge for the second time in a row, in which he also fell into the semi-finals in 2019.
