Listen to Taylor Swift’s new recording of “Love Story”

Taylor Swift has shared her new recording of “Love Story,” the first of her attempts to re-record her first six albums after the controversial 2019 sale of her early master recordings. Listen to the song, which first appeared on Swift’s 2008 album UndauntedBelow.

Swift announced the fully updated version Undaunted on Thursday, although she had a preview of the re-recorded “Love Story” in early December. Fearless (Taylor’s Version), which is due out on April 9 and is available for pre-order in several editions, features new recordings of six songs Swift wrote for the album as a teenager that were never released. In a statement, Swift called Fearless (Taylor’s Version) “The whole story, the whole vivid picture … the whole dream landscape that is my intrepid album.”

After Scooter Braun bought and later resold the master recordings of Swift’s first six albums, Swift said she would re-record them as a way to regain control of her work. Swift has released her latest record forever with one day’s notice in December, less than six months after release folklore in the same way.
