Liga MX: schedules and channels where you can watch day 9 matches (double)

The Day 9 of the 2021 closing tournament of the Liga MX will be played midweek as it’s a double date in this match, ahead of the next FIFA date at the end of March, so next Tuesday 2 will kick off the activity with three matches, continuing with four on Wednesday, and two more on Thursday.

Cruz Azul’s Machine will defend its leadership against surprising Mazatlán FC next Wednesday, in an effort to increase its consecutive game series with a win in the Clausura 2021, as they have already added six wins in the last six games.

On the ninth day of the championship, the Blues will try to take advantage of their home status by adding three units against an opponent with ups and downs, twelfth in the standings.

The Blues of Uruguayan striker Jonathan Rodríguez, Peruvian midfielder Joshimar Yotún and Paraguayan defender Pablo Aguilar, among others, started the year with two defeats, but recovered and after eight dates they are in first place with 18 points, two more than the America of the Argentinian Santiago Solari.

Mazatlán, who comes from defeating Querétaro 3-0, will arrive at the Azteca Stadium, the home of Heaven, with the premise to improve his defense, the second worst of the tournament, the only way to take on a Cruz Azul with a powerful attack, the second most effective of the season.

The day kicks off next Tuesday when the Tigres receives UANL Toluca, in a duel between two of the favorites to enter the league, who failed to win last weekend, while the champions host León Puebla and Atlas San Luis.

In addition to Cruz Azul-Mazatlán, América de Solari will go out on Wednesday to impose conditions at the Xolos stadium in Tijuana to remain the protagonist and jump to the top in case Cruz Azul loses.

It will meet again with a lot of expectations as America is the best performing team on the field and if it is not at the top it is because it lost three points to Atlas due to misalignment.

Led by Javier Aguirre, Monterrey will visit Juárez FC in the other Wednesday game, tasked with correcting their bad attack as the team has dropped from first to seventh.

The day will end on Thursday with the Necaxa-Pachuca and Pumas UNAM-Santos Laguna matches.
