The Rayados from Monterrey were covered in mourning last January 10 because of their sensitive deaths former captain, Angel Lama, who was part of the La Pandilla team that achieved the unforgettable promotion on March 20, 1960.
Flame GuagnelLi played with Monterrey in the 50s and 60s and became the captain of the Albiazul team, despite not making his debut with the Northern team as he was a youth team for the UNAM Pumas.

Lama started his career with the Williams Euzkadi team and joined the youth team of the Pumas de la UNAM, where he played alongside his brother Alfredo Lama.
El Capi arrived in Monterrey in season 59-60 and played with La Pandilla until his retirement in season 68-69.
Lama played as a midfielder and had a great physical presence at 1.80 height.
