Lenny Kravitz joins Jennifer Lopez and Josh Duhamel in the upcoming action comedy Shotgun Wedding

Jennifer Lopez and Josh Duhamel have a few more guests to their Shotgun Wedding, with Lenny Kravitz signing up.

The 56-year-old singer and actor has signed up to star in the Lionsgate action comedy, Deadline said.

According to Tuessday’s report, Cheech Marin, D’Arcy Carden, Selena Tan, Desmin Borges and Alex Mallari also sign.

The story is about Grace (Lopez) and Tom (Duhamel) as they prepare to bring both their stubborn families together for their wedding.

What the families don’t know is that the couple has cold feet, but all that becomes secondary when the families are suddenly held hostage.

Now Grace and Tom must find a way to save both of their families without killing each other.

Kravitz will play Sean, described as Grace’s ‘globetrotting ex,’ while Marin will play Grace’s father Robert.

Carden plays Robert Harriet’s new wife, while Tan plays Marge, the head of the resort where the wedding will take place.

Borges plays Ricky, the ‘permanently whiskey-buzzing embarrassing childhood friend of Tom’.

Mallari rounds out the cast as a ‘pirate’, and the report adds that production is set to start this month.

Jason Moore (Pitch Perfect) is directing from a script by Elizabeth Merriwether (New Girl) and Mark Hammer (Two Night Stand).

Lopez also co-produces with her Nuyorican Productions partners Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas and Benny Medina, in addition to Mandeville’s Todd Lieberman and David Hoberman.

Kravitz hasn’t starred as himself since an unnamed turn in Zoolander 2, although he also played Cinna in The Hunger Games and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

The singer was recently featured in the Super Bowl ad for Stella Artoiss, asking fans to invest in their own lives and become a “ heartbeat billionaire. ”

Other film roles include Lee Daniels’ The Butler and Precious and guest starring roles on Star, The Simpsons and Better Things.
