Legendary Tetris player Jonas Neubauer has passed away

A champion forever

The gaming world lost one of its greats last week. Jonas Neubauer, known for his extraordinary skill in Tetris, died on January 4. He was only 39.

Neubauer is the most talented classic Tetris player in history. During his competitive career, he won seven Classic Tetris World Championships, won four years in a row from 2010 to 2013 and achieved a triple victory from 2015 to 2017. He also set multiple records, including in 2018 when he cleared 100 lines in three minutes and nine seconds. That time now stands as the second fastest in the world.
