In the original Left 4 Dead, there were four survivors: Francis, Bill, Louis and Zoey. However, anyone reading the game’s wiki will think there is actually a fifth cast member: Purple Francis
As some dig @katrien appeared over the weekend, user Lucythorkelson logged into the wiki on Feb. 12 and went to town, created the character (complete with his own biography), then went to the trouble of scouring the rest of the pages and single entries of him alongside other survivors to drop to make it look like he had always been there.
In the elevator, Zoey asks Purple Francis if he likes monster movies, to which Purple Francis says they’re not that good. When Zoey hears this, she mutters to herself and looks away angrily. When Zoey dies, Purple Francis is less distressed by her death, saying that “she’s the type to hold grudges,” referring to her diminishing sympathy for Purple Francis after his commentary on monster movies. Fans see this as a prediction of Zoey’s dislike for Bill’s actions The Sacrifice stripStill, Valve has stated that it was just a coincidence. When Purple Francis dies, Zoey says he was a great man, and regrets acting badly against him because of what he said in monster movies.
Damaging a wiki is usually a nasty pain in the butt, but I can figure it out if it transcends to this level of universe building.
