Lawyers say Diandino will return to the PGR as often as necessary

The legal representatives of the former director of the Office for the Reorderdering of Transportation (Opret), Diandino Peña, assured their client this Wednesday as often as necessary.

This was expressed after the interrogation of the former public prosecutor, minutes before five o’clock in the afternoon.

However, they did not indicate when he would be interviewed again or if Pepca would ask for his presence again.

Likewise, Peña declined to comment on the interpellation, as he did when he arrived at the Public Prosecution Service.

The former official arrived in Pepca much earlier before 4 p.m., the time scheduled for his interview with the prosecuting body, and when approached by journalists, he confirmed that he does not know why they called him.

Peña was summoned to appear before Pepca at 4 p.m. after they filed a complaint against him with the Attorney General (PGR) mid-last month, accusing him of having more than RD $ 9.2 billion stolen during his tenure. at Opret, through several companies.

In that complaint, Peña is allegedly charged with committing crimes related to the association of criminals, fraud against the state, conviction, money laundering of assets arising from corruption and others sanctioned by the Dominican Penal Code.
