Los Angeles, United States
Laura Pausini won the Oscar nomination this Monday for the best original song for “Io Si”, the theme of the movie “La vita davanti a Sé”, which will be delivered in an adapted format in Los Angeles (USA) on April 25 to the pandemic.
The singer, the one with the greatest international projection in Italy and who has just won the Golden Globe for that song, confirmed on her social networks that the nomination “goes beyond any wish or expectation she said she could dream of.”
In fact, singing for this film, directed by Loren’s son Edoardo Ponti, was “one of the greatest gifts” of his life for Pausini.
For its part, the American Academy has also selected Matteo Garrone’s version of the world’s most famous doll, “Pinocchio,” starring Roberto Benigni in the role of the father, Geppetto.
The film wins the Oscar for Best Makeup and Hair Styling (Mark Coulier, Dalia Colli and Francesco Pegoretti) and for Best Costume Design (Massimo Cantini Parrini).
