Las Vegas is seeing a big buzz as casinos allowed 50 percent capacity on Monday

Crowds watched strolling the Las Vegas Strip on Saturday and guests gathered shoulder to shoulder at Sin City casinos as capacity constraints are expected to slacken to 50 percent on Monday.

Nevada’s “ Roadmap to Recovery ” plan remains on track, and Governor Steve Sisolak signed an emergency directive on Friday easing the state’s coronavirus restrictions, a press release said.

Capacity for gambling floors and other establishments will increase from 35 to 50 percent Monday as the state saw just 222 new cases with just one new death on Sunday, according to the state health department. data

The governor’s announcement on Friday appeared to open the pent-up locks and encourage people to hit the slots and tables after more than a year of restrictions, even though the official capacity rules don’t take effect until Monday.

In total, the state counted 299,287 cases with 5,118 deaths. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 989,342 doses of the vaccine have been given.

The capacity expansion planned for Monday will include gyms and other fitness centers, arcades, running tracks, bowling alleys, mini golf, pool halls, and amusement and theme parks.
