Lady Dimitrescu from Resident Evil Village looks great in Marvel vs. Capcom Art

Earlier this month, Capcom unveiled Lady Dimitrescu, one of the main antagonists in Resident Evil Village. The character quickly became a fan hit, inspiring cosplay, fan art and more. Artist @Countgate on Twitter joined the club with a great piece of pixel art meant to evoke Marvel vs Capcom! The image shows Lady Dimitrescu making short work of Gambit and preparing to kill the X-Man with a clawing hand high in the air. It’s a really cool piece, and one that shows how well the character would fit into the fighting game franchise!

The art of @Countgate can be found below.

It’s really amazing how good the character looks in the style of Capcom’s classic arcade games! The artwork alone makes it feel like Lady Dimitrescu would translate well as a 2D fighter. Dimitrescu wouldn’t be the first Resident Evil character to appear in the Marvel vs. Capcom series is out, so it is entirely possible that she will end up in a future submission, if her popularity continues after the release of Resident Evil Village. For now, fans will just have to wait and see what comes next for the character!

Despite Dimitrescu’s immediate popularity, Capcom hasn’t revealed much information about her character yet. Obviously, the villain will be a problem for lead actor Ethan Winters, as will her daughters; in Capcom’s recent Resident Evil Showcase, Dimitrescu’s daughters can be seen turning into plagues of grasshoppers attacking the player! While the character will clearly be in charge of that particular group, the Showcase also revealed that Dimitrescu will be answering someone named Mother Miranda. It remains to be seen who exactly this figure is, but she must be pretty intimidating when Lady Dimitrescu gives her answer!

Resident Evil Village will be released on May 7 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC. In the meantime, you can check out all of our previous coverage of the game here.
