Kyle O’Reilly vs. WWE NXT Champion Karrion Kross is teased as the next top feud for the NXT brand.
On the opening segment of tonight’s NXT, Kyle O’Reilly made his first appearance since winning Adam Cole’s Unsanctioned Match at the “Takeover: Stand and Deliver” event. O’Reilly eventually got in with Cameron Grimes, who hosted the main event, but his promo included a shot at Kross. O’Reilly talked about finding his killer instinct, which is necessary to be on top of NXT, and how he could use that killer instinct to fight the most dominant force NXT has seen. He then said he “has time” in a reference to Kross. Before he could continue, Grimes interrupted the segment.
O’Reilly was later shown walking to the ring for his win over Grimes, when he stopped by Kross and Scarlett, who were learning against the wall in the back. Kross and O’Reilly stared for a moment while Kross grinned, and O’Reilly kept walking toward the ring.
Kross retweeted a post from the official NXT account stating that we will play the O’Reilly vs. Need Kross. He also referenced O’Reilly’s promo in another tweet.
‘Killer … Instinct. #WWENXT, ”wrote Kross.
There’s no word on when O’Reilly vs. Kross could take place. Both Superstars are currently without a feud after their big wins at Takeover. O’Reilly won Cole’s Unsanctioned Match and Kross won Finn Balor’s NXT title.
