Kwik Trip, Culver’s recruit JJ Watt back to Wisconsin

The Green Bay Packers may not need to refer JJ Watt back to Wisconsin if both the No. 1 supermarket chain and the No. 1 fast food franchise are going to do most of the work for them.

Kwik Trip and Culver’s, two Wisconsin-based companies, both took to Twitter to convince Watt to return to his home state and sign with the Packers.

Kwik Trip listed the 17 locations in and around the Green Bay area. Culver pointed out that the state of Wisconsin has 142 restaurant locations.

The Houston Texans have released Watt, a resident of Pewaukee who played for the Wisconsin Badgers. With the Texans, Watt was eight-time All-Pro and three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year. The two sides broke up on Friday.

Speculation about Watt returning home to play for the Packers dominated the weekend.

The fit is almost perfect. Watt is eager to play in a Super Bowl, while the Packers have a need along the defensive front.

Watt will have many suitors. But could he really pass up the opportunity to play for the Packers and live near so many locations of Kwik Trip and Culver? If they woo Watt, Green Bay might have some aces up their sleeve.
