The book will look at a series of events that took place during Trump’s presidency, but will mainly focus on the Abraham Accords, a series of deals between Israel and the nations of Sudan, Morocco, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The Abraham Accords, announced last August, were the first official peace deal between the UAE and Israel in decades. The agreement was brokered with the help of Kushner and later became a major achievement touted by Trump and his allies.

The source told Reuters that Kushner is “Not looking to settle scores, but rather to provide historical context and help readers understand what it was like to work in Trump’s White House.”

In addition to his work in the Middle East, Kushner will discuss Trump’s impeachment, the government’s efforts at the border, the death of George Floyd, the Russia probe, the 2016 election, and the coronavirus, among others.

“It will be an interesting perspective from someone who had a broad portfolio, was in the room for many of the most tense and consistent moments, but had a fairly low public profile, stayed behind the scenes and granted limited media access,” source told Reuters .
