Kristaps Porzingis pushes Moe Harkless on brutal night

This was not Kristaps Porzingis’ night.

Porzingis shot 3-for-14 from the floor and hit a push match with Kings forward Moe Harkless on Sunday in the Mavericks’ 121-107 loss.

With Sacramento leading Dallas 71-54 in the third quarter, Harkless and Porzingis exchanged words before going nose to nose. Porzingis then pushed a smiling Harkless. Both players suffered a technical foul.

It was an ugly loss for the Mavericks, who are fighting to get out of the play-in portion of the postseason. Dallas sits seventh seed – two games behind the Blazers – with the top six teams in each conference guaranteeing a playoff berth. The Kings had lost nine games in a row to Sunday night’s surprise defeat.

Like Porzingis, Harkless spent time with the Knicks. He was acquired from the Clippers on last season’s trade deadline as part of the Marcus Morris deal.
