Krispy Kreme will give you a free donut every day this year – if you have been vaccinated

Just in case you need another reason to get your COVID-19 vaccination, Krispy Kreme makes the deal sweeter – it gives free donuts to anyone with a vaccination certificate, year-round.

Starting Monday, every customer with a valid COVID-19 vaccination card will receive a free Original Glazed donut at participating locations across the country. The iconic donut shop indicates that all guests who take at least one of the two photos of the Modern or Pfizer vaccine, or a shot of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, are eligible for the promotion.

All you need to show is your vaccination card to exchange your donut – a vaccination sticker is not valid.

And it’s not just a one-time offer. Vaccinated individuals can go back any day and continue to receive free donuts until all of 2021.

In a press release, Krispy Kreme also said it plans to support health workers and volunteers who administer vaccines by delivering free donuts to vaccination centers across the country in the coming weeks. To continue to boost the company’s safety, it also gives employees four hours of paid time off to receive the vaccine.

“We all want to get COVID-19 behind us as soon as possible and we want to support everyone who is doing their part to make the country safe by getting us vaccinated as soon as the vaccine is available to them,” said Chief Marketing Officer Dave Skena in a statement.

A number of companies, including Tyson, Target, Aldi, Trader Joe’s and McDonald’s, offer similar policies. Some companies are give staff employees paid time off to get their vaccines.

The US has now ruled 100 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. That equates to more than 35 million fully vaccinated Americans – 10.5% of the total US population.

The Biden government now estimates that sufficient doses will be available for every adult by May. Experts hope that clinical trials in teens and children can make some photos available to adolescents and younger children by the fall of 2022.
