“Bridgerton” star Nicola Coughlan told Kim Kardashian about her inspiration for the show, and the reality TV personality couldn’t have been more excited.
Coughlan, who plays Penelope Featherington on the hit Netflix series, tweeted Tuesday that the Kardashians were “a huge inspiration to the Featheringtons” and a regular topic of conversation while adapting the Regency-era drama.
She also claimed a link between her corset on the show and a corset made for Kardashian. “You’ve been part of the Bridgerton world longer than you think,” wrote Coughlan.
Kardashian was extremely happy with the news.
“I’m going mad!!!!!” she responded, to Coughlan’s delight and surprise, before asking if that made her “an honorary Duchess at Bridgerton.”
“Why, of course, Duchess Kardashian of Calabasas!” Coughlan replied, before jumping into the character of her alter ego on the show: “Lady Whistledown is happy to tell you that the season is truly incomparable.”
