Kim Kardashian defends North West amid a painting saga

We wish our mothers had defended our childhood artwork in this way.

Kim Kardashian takes on Instagram critics who claim her daughter, North West, didn’t actually create the artwork Kardashian showed off on Tuesday.

“DON’T PLAY WITH ME WHEN IT COMES TO MY CHILDREN !!!” said Skims founder in her Instagram story. “My daughter and her best friend have taken a serious oil painting class where their talents and creativity are encouraged and nurtured.”

“North worked incredibly hard on her painting, which took several weeks to complete,” she continued. “As a proud mother, I wanted to share her work with everyone. I see media and social media opinion pieces from adult adults who take down whether or not my child actually painted this, ”she continued, referring to the popular theory that the piece was in fact a Bob Ross painting. “How dare you see kids do great things and then accuse them of NOT being great!?!?!”

She concluded, “NORTH WEST PAINTED THAT PERDIOTDDDDABCDEFGZFDT !!!!”

Kardashian, 40, didn’t stop there, however, sharing Ryan’s painting of a friend of North’s and the artwork Kanye West had created as a child.

Kardashian’s BFF Tracy Romulus – whose daughter Ryan is also talented with a paintbrush – defended the girls on social media earlier in the day.

“Both girls are in art class together, learning oil painting techniques from an instructor,” she told fans. “They spend weeks at a time on one painting and are incredibly proud of themselves once they have completed a project.”

Romulus added that North, 7, and Ryan are following a curriculum that encourages their own interpretation of the artwork.

Saint, it’s your turn now.
