Kim Kardashian calls North West’s Bob Ross-inspired painting a ‘classic’

North West joins the ‘classic’ artists, at least in the eyes of mother Kim Kardashian.

Immortalizing her daughter’s Bob Ross-inspired painting – which sparked a fuss over its authenticity a few weeks ago – Kardashian posted on her social media feed.

“I just had to post this bc it’s a North West Classic!” the proud mom, 40, wrote on Tuesday next to a photo of the artwork.

Earlier this month, TikTok user Camryn Fred took to the popular social media app shortly after fans began to wonder if 7-year-old North could do the painting, explaining that West did indeed paint the impressive work on commission from Fred’s mother, an art teacher.

“My mom taught me how to do this, and she taught North how to do the same two weeks ago,” revealed Fred. “She’s been an art teacher for 30 years, and everyone who comes to her classes goes through exactly the same painting when they start.”

Before Fred came to the child’s defense, Kardashian stood up for her daughter herself.

“DON’T PLAY WITH ME WHEN IT COMES TO MY CHILDREN !!!” said the founder of Skims on her Instagram story at the time. “My daughter and her best friend have taken a serious oil painting class where their talents and creativity are encouraged and nurtured.”

“North worked incredibly hard on her painting, which took several weeks to complete,” she continued. “As a proud mother, I wanted to share her work with everyone. I see opinion pieces in the media and social media from adult adults that indicate whether or not my child actually painted this or not. How dare you see kids do great things and then accuse them of NOT being great!?!?! “
