Kim Kardashian and Kanye West split after their relationship became ‘downright toxic’

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are living separate lives amid reports that they are about to divorce.

And now it is said that the couple had ‘no choice’ but to live separately for the past few months because things became so ‘downright toxic’.

Kim and Kanye, who have been married for six years and have four children together, were recently hit by reports that divorce is imminent after their marriage plunged into crisis last year.

“Kim and Kanye had no choice but to end up living separately because communication between them had become so downright toxic,” a source told Us Weekly.

They entered the latter part of 2020 with the best of intentions and wanted to find a way to interact when they spent time together. But it got to the point where the bickering turned into nasty outbursts and confrontations, and since neither of them wanted the kids exposed to that kind of hostility, [stayed] part.’

Kanye stayed on his $ 14 million ranch in Wyoming while Kim stayed with the kids in Calabasas, California.

The source added that Kanye would return to Calabasas regularly until early December to spend time with the kids while they ‘tried to play nice with Kim’.

The insider explained that the duo would be cordial around each other for the sake of the kids, but their interactions were very ‘natural’ about what to do for dinner, their therapy sessions, and discussing the kids’ homeschooling.

Then they had a “ big fight ” last month, the publication claims.

‘Kanye blew up at Kim and she was really upset,’ the source said. “Things between them don’t seem to have healed since then.”

It comes after a separate report on Thursday claiming there is no bad blood between the duo.

‘They are very affectionate’ with each other, a source told E! News.

“He’s focused on his world and she’s focused on her world,” said the insider, adding that “Kim wants to feel peace of mind entering this new chapter of her life and focused on herself and her children.”

Kim and Kanye, who tied the knot in 2014, share four children; daughters North, seven, and Chicago, two, and sons, Saint, five, and Psalm, one.

‘[Kim] wants to feel strong mentally and physically, ” the source continued, referring to the KUWTK star’s rigorous training schedule at 6am.

They also noted that Kardashian has kept herself ‘very busy’ by immersing herself in her work, such as her popular shapewear brand SKIMS and her thriving makeup line KKW Beauty.

‘She has been very busy with her business, which has been a blessing. She also really focuses on the kids and their happiness. ‘

Kim also has the support of her sisters Kourtney, 41, and Khloe, 36, who have already ‘volunteered’ to help the reality star tackle single motherhood.

“All the sisters are aware of the situation and are very supportive. They all love Kanye like a brother, but agree that they part ways for the best, ” a source told the outlet.

But a source close to the situation painted a more distant picture for People, claiming “Kim and Kanye’s marriage is beyond repair” and that “Kim is over the chaos of Kanye.”

“At this point she just wants to focus on the kids and her own life,” said the insider, adding that Kim’s goal is “to create the best life for the kids.”

She and Kanye just aren’t on the same page when it comes to their future as a family.

And Kim is okay with it. She will do everything she can to make sure the kids have a good relationship with Kanye – she just doesn’t want to marry him, ‘they concluded.

The pair went through a tumultuous 2020 that included the rap star’s failed run for president of the United States, which seemed to draw a wedge between him and Kim.
