Khloe Kardashian only had two weeks to prepare for Keeping Up With The Kardashians in 2006

Khloe Kardashian reveals that when Keeping Up With The Kardashians was picked up in 2006, they only had TWO WEEKS to prepare: ‘We did it right away’

Khloe Kardashian said Keeping Up With The Kardashians was ‘almost going nowhere’.

The 36-year-old television personality has confessed that the E! reality show, which will end on the airwaves after 20 seasons this year, almost didn’t materialize as their first pilot episode failed to impress viewers.

“I think we shot a pilot or something for Ryan [Seacrest] and it wasn’t going anywhere. And then a show on E! fell through, so they needed something to fill this dead air time, ” she said during her performance on Monday on the Kelly Clarkson Show.

The entrepreneur then spoke of the rushed start of the right series, noting that the family did not have time to prepare on-screen personas for themselves.

“They were like, ‘You come to the show, start filming, you’ll be on the air in two weeks.'”

She continued: “I really appreciate that because we just thought, ‘Oh, we’re not going to get season two, let’s just shoot, it’s fun, let’s just be ourselves. This isn’t going anywhere.”

Khloe also said the show was so successful because she felt the family had ‘no pressure’ on them.

She commented, “We didn’t pressure ourselves. We didn’t even have time to think about it; to really have something to falsify preconceived things. It was just who we are and I think that’s what made the show so good. ‘

Kardashian continued, ‘We just weren’t thinking. And that turned out to be probably the best thing that happened to us, because for some people it was so, I think, recognizable and realistic. ‘

In September, it was confirmed that Keeping Up With The Kardashians would end in 2021 with the upcoming 20th and final season.

Kim announced the show’s end in an Instagram post, writing that: ‘We made the difficult decision as a family to part with Keeping Up With The Kardashians with heavy hearts.’

She added, “We will forever cherish the wonderful memories and countless people we met along the way … Without keeping up with the Kardashians, I wouldn’t be where I am today.”

The 40-year-old reality TV personality also expressed her gratitude to the series’ development and production crew, noting that her family wouldn’t have gotten the opportunities they have now without them.

‘I am so incredibly grateful to everyone who has seen and supported me and my family over the past 14 incredible years. This show has made us who we are and I will forever be in debt to everyone who played a role in shaping our careers and changing our lives forever, ” she wrote.
