Khloe Kardashian hits back at Instagram commentator who called her ‘insecure’

Khloe Kardashian felt compelled to respond to an Instagram user who called her ‘insecure’ this weekend.

The mum-of-one, who was criticized for over-editing her photos on the social media app, wrote a thoughtful response to the person, telling them to ‘look in the mirror’ while also saying ‘love and happiness’.

Khloe, 36, had shared photos of her modeling a figure-hugging ‘avatar’-style outfit last week during a girls’ night out with her siblings and received high praise for the stunning look of her close ones.

However, from the handful of negative comments Khloe received, it looks like one in particular got under her skin.

“If insecurity was a person,” the commentator wrote under Khloe’s photo collection, along with a tearful emoji.

Khloe replied, ‘Baby girl, you have to look in the mirror. Only insecure people bring other people down. I am sending you so much love, health and happiness! I’m sorry you’re in pain. ‘and added a blue heart emoji.

It comes after Khloe’s team – with help from sister Kim – tried to get an unauthorized photo of Khloe removed from the internet earlier this month.

The photo of Khloe, showing her in a skinny leopard-print bikini while standing by the pool at her mom’s house in Palm Springs, shows that she looks more natural than her carefully edited Instagram snaps.

The photo was reportedly taken by Khloe’s grandmother MJ and accidentally posted to social media before going viral.

Some who reposted it were threatened with legal action if they didn’t remove it.

In the alleged raw snap, her waist appears less defined, her curves less dramatic, and her skin not as impossibly smooth as she looks in her carefully staged glossy fashion shoots.

Tracy Romulus, Kim Kardashian’s BFF and chief marketing officer for KKW brands, said in a statement to Page Six: “ The color-edited photo was taken of Khloé at a private family gathering and accidentally posted to social media by an assistant without permission.

“Khloé looks beautiful, but it is within the copyright owner’s right not to want an image that is not intended to be published to be removed.”

Khloe was initially silent, but eventually posted a comment on Instagram saying she feels the pressure to look ‘perfect’ is ‘too much to bear’.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star revealed that she “ struggled with body image ” all her life after being compared to her siblings.

Alongside a short video showing her body, she wrote, ‘Hey guys, this is me and my body, unretouched and unfiltered.

The photo posted this week is beautiful. But as someone who’s struggled with body image all her life, when someone takes a picture of you that isn’t flattering in bad light or doesn’t capture your body the way it is after you’ve worked so hard to get it to this point – and it then share with the world – you should have every right to ask that it not be shared – no matter who you are.

In truth, the pressure, constant ridicule, and condemnation all my life to be perfect and live up to other people’s standards of what I should look like has been too hard to bear. (sic) ‘

Khloe is said to be feeling ‘strong and happy’ following her controversy over her photo and speaking out about her physical concerns.

A source told Page Six of the New York Post: “There has been a flood of support from friends, family and business associates.

It was really great – everyone applauded her for speaking openly about her struggles that they all know has been pressing on her for years.

“It was a great relief for her to finally be able to speak her truth and she feels strong and happy.”
