Katy Perry brought bold glamor to the set of “American Idol” this week to welcome a legendary guest judge: Paula Abdul.

The “Teenage Dream” singer herself boldly sat next to the series’ original judge. As styled by Tatiana Waterford, Perry modeled a latex-coated blue bottega Veneta mini dress, complete with an asymmetrical cut-out neckline and dramatic ruffles.

Bottega Veneta’s designs and shoes have quickly made it the brand of summer when it comes to must-have items. With many of his footwear styles featuring on-trend elements such as square toe and toenail fronts, the silhouettes keep pace with the growing revitalizations of ’90s inspired designs taking the street style world by storm. Spotted on Kylie Jenner alongside Olivia Culpo, Emily Ratajkowski, Kourtney Kardashian and more, the Italian brand has risen the ranks as a top label for “It” girls across all industries.

To accent the bold track, the musician then tapped her own eponymous collection for a set of classic white pumps. Similar designs from the brand can be purchased for under $ 100 at KatyPerryCollections.com.

Earlier this week, Perry debuted with another standout ensemble for the music competition. The “Daisies” musician watched a preview of her attire on Sunday evening on social media, opting for a vintage Alaïa dress with a stain coating. The wild design featured a bustier-style bodice with a form-fitting finish and a chunky gold Sylvia Toledano cross necklace to match.

The new mom, who welcomed her first child with fiancé Orlando Bloom in August 2020, is no stranger to adding a bold piece to her rotation of ensembles. In addition to wearing eye-catching looks and stylish shoes, the Grammy-nominated singer also has her own shoe line. Perry launched its eponymous collection in 2016 as a joint venture with Global Brands Group Holding Ltd.

“I like my shoes to tell a story by the heel, [asking]: “Could it be this or could it be that?” I’ve tried to put a lot of different figures or decorations on my heels to tell a story and hopefully start conversations through your feet wherever you go, whatever you do, ”Perry told FN about her brand in 2018 .
